Look At These Numbers
pieces of plastic waste are
in our oceans.
(8 million tonnes a year)
Tonnes of plastic are
manufactured each year.
Only 9% is recycled.
Marine mammals die every
year from plastic pollution
It takes plastic more than 400 years to degrade, so every piece of plastic ever created is still in existence. If this pattern continues, by 2050, there will be more plastic than marine life in our oceans.
At Faceittea, we don’t want to be part of the problem.
So, we’ve made sure we’re part of the solution.
Why We Are Different
At Faceittea, we’ve embarked on a mission to create high-quality, sustainable, and natural skincare products. We’re saying goodbye to harsh chemicals and hello to plant-based remedies. All while staying as sustainable as possible.
Minimising our environmental impact plays a big role in the way we work. From raw ingredients to plastic-free packaging, we strive to lessen our environmental footprint wherever and whenever possible.
Our products are created with the utmost care, for your skin and our planet.
We believe that nature provides us with the best ingredients to care for our skin. Our products are made of wild-harvested ingredients, completely free from all chemicals and pesticides. We carefully choose our ingredients to make sure that our oceans stay clean. No chemicals and synthetics mean we’ve ensured that no toxins find their way into our fragile aquatic ecosystems.
Our products are always packaged in recycled paper and sealed with plant-based glue. We’ve completely ditched plastic and only use glass jars – the easiest material to reuse and recycle. Packed in Kraft cardboard, our products are always delivered as low-waste as possible!
Our products are artisanal, unique, and handcrafted by us.
We source handmade materials from local suppliers known for their natural methods and minimal processing. Local sourcing and local production help us reduce our carbon footprint.
Our refills are made from recycled Kraft paper, an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional packaging. Derived from wood pulp, Kraft paper breaks down in 21 days when composted. In a landfill, it completely biodegrades in 3 months, leaving little to no impact on the environment.
It’s no secret that single-use plastics are one of the biggest killers of marine wildlife. Once plastic is discarded and enters our oceans, it breaks down into smaller microplastics. These microplastics are ingested by fish and marine mammals.
But did you know that packaging isn’t the only danger to marine life? The ingredients in everyday skincare products are just as harmful. Synthetic chemicals found in skincare products are washed down the drain and end up in our oceans, affecting animals and the coral reefs.
That’s why at Faceittea, we do our best to ensure our packaging and ingredients are as ocean-friendly as possible.
